Biography

Selbé Linguère (née. Diouf), also known as Selbé Diouf Djilor, is a Seereer-Siin njom (or laamb) singer and composer from Djilor Dionik in the Fatick region of Senegal.

Selbé  lost her father when she was two months old and was raised by her grandmother. She started singing from an early age but stopped her singing career after she got married. She has not sang professionally for several years and only returned to singing as a professional njom artist in 2021.

Selbé is still trying to maneuver the music industry after years of absence. Seereer Heritage's single Ceereer ne ino mbogun released on 15 December 2022, the flagship track of the album Ino mbogu Seereer ne (2023) is her first release. In 2021, Selbé founded her group Cosaan Dionik - and she is the lead singer of that group.
